Position Overview
Responsible for assisting with the organization’s process improvement and change management activities by applying process improvement, change management methodologies, communication planning, organizational readiness assessment and stakeholder analysis. Helps to plan and execute process improvement and change management projects. Monitors the implementation of change management to ensure the disruption of normal business operations is minimized. Possesses and develops knowledge of business processes, in order to identify when changes in software applications and systems should be initiated. Acts as a change agent to implement and manage best practices across the organization.
This is a hybrid position, with 3 in-office days at our corporate headquarters in Kent, Ohio and then 2 remote days a week.
Job Duties
Includes assisting with, supporting and/or leading some or all of the following, depending on experience and current project load. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Promotes the business vision of upcoming changes using a benefit framework that links adoption of change to successful business outcomes
- Employs a structured change management methodology to facilitate change and promote commitment to adapt to the change. Knows how to tailor this methodology to be culturally appropriate for the organization
- Prepares for change by assessing the magnitude of change and the organization’s change readiness
- Identifies pitfalls and potential points of challenge or change aversion. Develops counterstrategies to mitigate or minimize potential issues
- Conducts thorough methodological investigations to identify key stakeholders impacted by the change. Determines appropriate timing of that change. Conducts an environment scan to identify potential challenges for stakeholders, such as skills gaps, doubts and uncertainties, to foster a positive acceptance of change. Tailors change management plans (training and orientation) to accommodate the needs of the different stakeholder groups impacted.
- Creates a communications strategy and plan to ensure all employees are fully aware of impending changes.
- Conducts an impact assessment for stakeholders affected by the change items. Regularly reviews the stakeholder community to assess potential change fatigue.
- Identifies and provides leadership for change agents and change advocates within the stakeholder community by involving trusted informal leaders to create employee understanding and influence successful organizational change.
Job Duties Continued
- Promotes and provides ongoing coaching and mentoring about change management practices to senior leadership, stakeholder managers and project managers to increase their effectiveness in driving sustainable change.
- Performs quantitative assessment of change success and change adoption. Solicits feedback from stakeholders to determine the success of change management activities and ensure that behavioral changes align with strategic objectives.

Qualifications
Education and Qualifications: An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Postsecondary education in business, technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Driver’s license required. Valid US Passport highly desired
- Organizational development training, change management training and/or certification are highly desired
- Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Skillful in organizing resources, establishing priorities, time management & meeting deadlines
- Support for various concurrent projects
- Must be positive and willing to learn
Experience:
- Track record of successful organizational change experience, with goals to achieve and identify strategic business objectives and benefits
- Three or more years of experience in cross-functional areas or leading cross-functional organizational projects
- Demonstrate experience in working with diverse teams
